Introduction

To prepare 1 Liter of TAE Buffer 50X.

Materials

    • EDTA disodium salt (M=372.24g/mol)
    • Tris Base (M=121.1g/mol)
    • Water
    • Acetic acid

Procedure

  1. Dissolve 18.61g EDTA in 100mL water in a separate container. Put on a magnetic stirrer to dissolve.
  1. Dissolve 242.2g Tris Base in 500mL water.
  1. Add 57.1mL Acetic acid to the Tris Solution
  1. Adjust the volume to 1000mL with water.
